What we do

Veterans Take Flight is all about exposing veterans to the world of aviation.  Although veterans have unique education benefits that can be used for flight training, understanding exactly what the benefits are and how to best utilized them can be complicated and frustrating.  We want to not only show veterans how to take advantage of the flight training benefits they have, but also to help expose veterans to general aviation through a community of like minded pilots and flight instructors willing to help veterans achieve their dream of becoming a private or professional pilot.

To educated, inspire, and assist veterans in pursuing their dream of becoming a pilot so they can enjoy the boundless freedom only found in aviation.

Ways we strive to help veterans

• Provide knowledge and insight into how the GI Bill benefits can be used to pay for veterans flight training.
• Follow me as I document how I used my GI Bill benefits for flight training.
• Through donations and fundraising help give veterans scholarships to assist in paying for flight training not covered by the GI Bill.
• Connect like minded veterans to provide introductory flights in an effort to foster interest in aviation.
• Link Certified Flight Instructors with veteran student pilots to provide reduced cost flight training.
• Provide a community where veterans can share their experiences and assist each other in finding ways to make aviation affordable.
